Spammers

Thai, I didn't think you were a mod any more. How are you still able to view the forum?

What are the other requirments to be a mod?

Well, i asked GG to make me a mod again so that i help clean up the forum...this will be a temporary status for me. (My daughter is coming out end of next month...so, i won't have much time on the forum.)

There is no other qualification needed. We vote on who becomes a mod.

You change your avatar more than my girlfriend changes her clothes. :D

Thai is being too modest, here is T4R.org history 101.

Thai bought a new 2002 4Runner and asked his friend (GatorGreg) who knows computers, if they could start a forum. At the beginning, Thai would post a question, then he would answer it, he kept it active, until people started coming in. I felt sorry for the guy (Thai) and I started posting.

So, Thai and GatorGreg were the orignial starters of this forum. Thai came back for a while to straighten things out. He technically has power of an Administrater. When things calm down, Thai will become a regular member again.

As far as being a moderator, jharris and myself were the first ones to reach 100 posts and were senior members. We were lucky enough to be asked as moderators. (I guess I was lucky???)

It does look like we could use a few more moderators, by the way the pay is poor and banning sucks, except of course, banning those spammers. That is fun, fun until they post 100 times.:awais:

More power to the mods to empty our site of spammers. annoys me. Thanks for the forum and the great work.......let me know if I can help by sending 1M message to a spammers site and crashing them............fish fry. =)

That's cool man. It's always neat to learn how things really started.

I didn't think mods got paid anything.

If you are considerating a Moderator in addition to this forum...I would recommend CJ3Flyr (Chris)

He's proactive on this forum & he's very very resourceful.

Thank you very much to all the current Moderators for keeping this forum very clean!!

I'm sure there's a lot of work behind the scenes to keep this forum clean that we don't even realize. Great job!!

Keep up the great work!!

X2 on Chris.

I would say he is the best candidate.

K.C. and Josh,

Thanks for the kind words. I do enjoy the forum and want it to continue to be one of the best forums out there. I wouldn't mind helping out in fact I'd probably enjoy it. I know it's a PIA but so are most rewarding experiences in life:D

I'm sure somewhere in the super-secret T4R.org bunker they're coming up with a plan. I just wonder if the master plan will include a T4R for Thai as part of the stimulus:lmao:
