So first of all here's to full size spares! I caught either a broken bit of plow blade or a very sharp piece of fresh gravel in my tire right in the middle of the Smith-Dorrien/Spray Lakes trail (Albertans should know this road). It was full of freshly laid/graded gravel and would have been miserable to drive out 20 km on a skinny (might have killed the skinny too). It was actually such a nice big gash that, even though I pulled over as soon as the TPS monitor light went on, I barely got the jack out and vehicle lifted before it settled on the rim. Luckily dead center of tread and was patchable.
Anyhow just finished putting repaired tire back on and in stowing the spare I cannot find any torque or tightening recommendation for the chain lift mechanism. I realize a ft-lb number is probably overkill but I'd like to find the right spot between having it loosen and stripping the sprocket. There should really be some guideline like "1 turn after contact".
Anyone?
