Spare tire pressure monitor

Hi everyone, Hope you are enjoying your 4 of July weekend. I'm installing the spare tire lock and just have a quick question. Is the pressure monitor light be blinking if I'm driving without my spare? Thanks!

That sounds like it is working properly. The TPMS should be a constant light if one of the tires is low on pressure and blinks if there is a malfunction. A missing tire is probably considered a malfunction

My TPMS light is solidly lit now since the tire mounters broke one of my sensors off. The rim is on the 4R without the sensor at this point. Even though the sensor is in my ash trey, the light is still solid. It thinks one of the tires is missing!!!

FYI, Tire sensors are 118 bucks each with 40-160 dollars of labor to install. I took it to 3 different dealers and here is a shocker, I got 3 completely different quotes for replacing the same damn sensor.

I am actually thinking about not fixing the sensor and pocketing the cash from the tire shop. I dont really use the TPMS anyways, its kind of a pain in the ass.
