Spare tire/wheel question for those with aftermarket wheels...

Not only does Toyota "not" sell these BBS wheels, but they also do "not" sell these TRD center caps made specifically for the BBS that they do "not" sell.....

Nope, my toyota dealer does not list that wheel.

The difference in those wheels and the OE wheels is the center bore. When you look at the center cap, the opening is pretty small compared to the back side that is milled around the hub. My guess is they did it for a reason beyond looks because it also adds strength to the wheel. Anyone who off roads Toyota knows that cracks between the lug holes and the center bore is common. By not cutting the center bore all the way through it makes that less of a threat. Obviously the only way this works is not having manual hubs. You wouldn't be able to use the wheel with manual hubs. The draw back to the smaller center bore is that the stock spare holder won't fit without some serious modification.

I have the same wheels he just got. They came older Sequoia's and Tundras (the generation before the one that's out now - the new ones are 5 lug; old was 6 lug).
I bought my wheels off someone who got them WITH their Sequoia, which they bought brand new. I watched him take them off his truck. They are quite rare but I've seen a few around here in stock form that have the same wheels. They were part of a TRD package.
Sorry OP, I have no answer for you but just wanted to chime in with this. I have my stock as a spare still.
These wheels are out of production since there's a new gen Tundra/Sequoia. There are plenty of take offs out there, which I would watch out for unless it was going to be the spare, then whatever. If you can buy them direct from anywhere, they are more than likely take offs.
Also thanks OP for posting the link for the centercaps; I've been looking as mine need replacing!
