spare tire

When purchased I requested the stealership to rotate and hide the dunlop white lettering, which they did except for the spare, which i find in my first tire rotation, damn. secondly a question to others who rotate all five tires;
Has anyone noticed rub marks or wear marks on the outside of the spare tire where it rests underneath? It rests on a cross member and the wear marks are about 2 inches apart. I have appt Thurs to remedy, hopefully replace. recommend others to inspect tire. i will update thanks

the "wear mark" on mine were not a problem. It just looks like where the rubber dented when put against the crossmember. After a week or so, the rubber popped back up to retake its original shape. it wasn't a safety issue for me.

stealership could not find any info on the wear marks
confirmed not safety but asthetically unpleasing
they are to contact toyota.ca for further update
ive searched site no other info, keep updated.

I just did a 5-tire rotation and have notice it too. Should not be a problem as have been mentioned here before.
