spark plug changes made easy

just changed all 6 my plugs...took less then 45 minutes...

3 things that really help

swivel/extensions ...magnetic pickup tool { for when you drop your plug down inbetween the engine/frame ] 1/4" 3/8" I.D rubber tubing to push onto end of plug and start threading it into motor.

On the drivers side, I did have to take off the air manifold system..but thats simple { only 2 bolts/clamps}

on the passengers , I did not have to dissconnect any hoses at all. If I did it, anyone can..I am a big guy with large hands..

There was a yellowish residue on the one plug at the back of the motor on the passengers side. When I start up the truck, it does blow white smoke for about 60 seconds, then it goes away....

Im assuming this is a sure sign of a small head gasket leak ? Would Barrs Leak 1step head gasket repair fix the problem ? The 1 step Barrs Leak is just added directly to the raidatior { no flushing needed} .

anyone ever use this stuff with good results ? Like I said, it looks like my head gasket leak is very minor at this point in time..and im hoping Barrs Leak will repair it.

I would be making damned sure that you actually do have a head gasket leak before using any of that mechanic in a can. I am not really a fan of that stuff but if you want to use it just make sure the problem is really there before you go for it.
You can verify your leak if you do a cooling system pressure test while the engine is running, or a leak down test on each cylinder. There are other methods but I find those two to be the most reliable.

Surely yellowish residue on one of the spark plugs and white vapor coming out of tailpipe, indicates a head gasket leak ?

Barrs seems to get alot of positive reviews when it comes to fixing head gasket problems.

I dont have the proper testing equipemnt { or knowledge} to do pressure checks on each cylinder.

IMHO, there is a small head gasket leak...but not large enough that coolant is spewing into my oil....

IMHO, there is a small head gasket leak...but not large enough that coolant is spewing into my oil....

There are lots of things that appear to be a head gasket leak, lucky for us we have ways to verify if it truly is.

Best advice I can give you is take it to a radiator shop and let them do a dynamic cooling system pressure test (it is cheap if not free).
