Spark Plug Question

Any ideas on where to find a set of NGK Iridium IX plugs for a 2005 SR5 V-6? I've seached all over on-line and can only find the oem V-Powers. Is there much of a difference between these? If anyone has used the IX's, I'd like to know the correct part no. and stock no. too. Thanks.

I bought the NGK Iridiums LFR6AIX-11a couple of months ago. I have to say...I haven't noticed any "warp speed" difference in performance, but my avg gas mileage after almost 1500 miles has been hovering around 19mpg instead of 18 driving in town.
I bought them from www.sparkplugs.com and the total for 6 shipped via UPS ground was $54.

the iridium plugs are not recommended for the V6 and that is why you cant find them listed anywhere...only the v8 has iridiums from the factory.

Changing spark plugs alone will not create a HUGE especially when the plugs that you are replcacing are fairly new to begin with.

That being said, I think the reson that I saw such a noticable difference with mysetup is that i had about 10K+ on my OEM setup which included both Denso and NGK plugs. Now that I have a set of the same plugs and upgraded ones at that, the engine seems stronger.

Who knows, i could have just bought the OEM NGK's and installed them to make a full set of those but when they are more expensive than the Upgraded IX's that I used, i didnt really see the point in that.
