Spark Plug Question

I have a 2005 SR5 What is the best spark plugs to put in the V6? I have seen several "plug" threads and heard iridium, Platinum and standard. I have used platinum plugs in most of my vehicles, is that the best way to go or put the iridiums in?

I just (about an hour ago) put NGK LFR6AIX-11 Iridium plugs in my V6 and noticed an immediate 500 HP gain :bigok:

I read all the threads before I selected the plugs too and with the exception of 'don't use Bosch', the NKG Iridiums seemed to be the most popular plugs. Also the pricing between the iridium and platinum didn't seem to be much different if you're looking for NGK or Denso. I looked up on-line pricing for the copper Densos that were installed and they were $6.50 each. I got the NGK Iriduims for $7.50 at the local auto parts store.

I too am getting ready to change and do it myself. Previously I have used the NGK LFR6C-11, which is OEM. These are the plugs which require changing every 30,000 miles. I have a Toyota Genuine parts pamphlet discussing the tyrpes of OEM plugs, which in the photos are Densos. They discuss the U-Groove, the Double Platinum, Dual Ground and Iridium. They state that the Iridium or the Double paltinum are good for 60,000 miles. Does this mean I can use either of those and extend my changing interval or is there a reason not to use those plugs in the V-6 ?

Did some research and talked to the man at NGK tech support. Ended up going with the Laser Iridium NGK plug, which he said would extend changing intervals and is recommended for the V6 as well as the V8. Thanks.
