SPC/Light Racing UCA's

Hi,

there's a thread over at the 5th gen sub-forum about issues with the SPC UCAs particularly the UBJs and the bushings/sleeves.

Are those issues that they're having also applicable to the 3rd gen version of the SPC UCAs?

Thanks.

After doing some research on these, including reading thru that 5th gen thread, I have come to the conclusion that SPC has Updated their product a number of times in order to address those concerns, and that all the people complaining are complaining about older models before updates or not updated parts. As far as I can tell if you get the newest part version, most of those issues have been addressed

The ball joints on the SPC arms are pretty robust not to mention if they ever do wear out, they're super easy to change out.

I thought about it but I cared more about the adjustability and lack of maintenance than any strengths the uniball has.

The arms have angle built in them, basically all you need is to get it properly alignt them. Should get in factory specs. I got mine. The uniball is stronger , and there really isn't maintance on it. Besides when washing the car, just rinse the ball , add dry grease and good to go. I've been in mud, sand, rain and no signs of wear.

I was also debating between the spc or uniball. I just couldnt resist the uniball and it aint bad to change it.
