Speaker help?????

question, i have an alpine mrv-f345 amp which is 75x4 rms and im trying to find some nice components for the front and some regular coaxials for the rear, ive been lookin at the alpine type-x, mbquart reference series, and infinity kappas. any ideas????

Look into the following:

Focal
Seas
DLS
Rainbow
Dynaudio
Morel

Any those mentioned above and you're ears will be happy!!
 
i haven't heard of any of those, i want really good sound quality, from a comany that has a nice rep for audio

The brands I mentioned are the best in the business... If you want pure SQ then the brands I mentioned will do it.
 
Lizardking is right focal is the best in my book i had them installed in my diamante unbelievable
boston acustics is also very good
i would like to buy these brands but i dont have the $
so ill settle for infinity or jbl
 
i will vouch for the dls... just installed a set of iridium 6.3

it all depends on what else you have though, since your system will only be as good as its weakest component. speakers are expencive and if you dont have the right head unit or amp or wiring to go wtih it, dont waste your money.

but yea lizardking is right.. great recommendations

i would place cdt more in spl but i dont know much to begin with...

lizardking's suggestions are great but i think we may be straying away from the point of this thread if you dont tell us what your budget is and how much work you are willing to put into building this system.


amps.. i hear good things about us amps and zed audio
i also dont forget genesis and mcintosh

subs, i hear good things about soundsplinters, powerbass and sound integrity

Yes, Genesis are great amps for SQ. Mcintosh are great amps for the money.

In pure SQ the W7's from JL are STILL the king of the hill regardless what you read.
 
yea i looked at those but ended up going wtih the image dynamics. i wish i could hear all these other speakers for myself. unfortunately, i live in the middle of nowhere

all i can say is that i love my idmax : D
i love my dls speakers, my helix amp, and my eclipse head : P

I wish I had pictures to share. I like the IDMAX's they would be my second choice without a doubt!!!

My next vehicle is going to be the new 2007 Tundra. I plan on taking pictures and doing a pure SQL system in that one.
 
k heres the deal, i want to spend 200-300 tops for one pair of components, and as someone said earlier it will only be as good as its weakest part, at some point i plan on dynamating the interior and doing other major things like that, but not right now, so a set of low-high end, or high low-end speakers would probly do just fine, and i don't want a speaker thats just made for sq i want some that can take a beating too with the mrv-f345 amp, and everything from country to rap music,

For one MB Quart has been bought out by another low end Company..Can't remember the name for the life of me.. Stay away from MB Quart unless you can find some that are the REAL German made versions... Those are hard to find. Don't risk it.


Those Focals you posted are really nice but don't handle a butt load of power. I almost suggested those to you... They are very nice speakers.


CDT, I wouldn't put those in my wifes car...LOL
