Speaker Installation

I own a '99 SR5 and I recently purchased some new kenwood speakers to replace the ones on the driver and passenger side. When I took the door panel off I noticed the speakers where in some sort of bracket, I took the bracket off and it seems the stock speakers are glued onto this bracket. Has anyone installed new speakers on their own? I don't feel like paying $60 for someone else to install them.

What I did was I took a razor and sliced away whatever glue I could. After that I went with a flat head screwdriver and just pryed up on the speaker. Just take your time and you will have it out. I'm sure their might be better ways to do it but this worked for me. Hope this helps

Did this project Friday night, that is exactly how I got the factory speakers out. By the way the component (tweeter and woofer) was a very easy install.
