Hi everyone,

My Classic has no system in it. I bought it w/o speakers and was wondering what unique/sweet set ups some of you have on your classics.

hey there,

i don't have a system - yet.

i got my '88 4runner back in may and have put a bunch of $ into the engine, trans and brakes - doh.

so, i still have the stock am/fm radio with 4" speakers.

i think i'm writing this because it re-enforces, to me, that i will get:

a new head unit which is ipod capable and i will install 6.5" polks in the front door which are marine certified and either the same 6.5" or 6x9" in the rear.

not looking for a banging system as i have a bikini top waiting to be installed... so, i'm going topless this year!!!

Sweet,

I put $4500 into new parts (Axel, brakes etc) and have repainted it.

I'm thinking of putting new speakers all round, a 12" sub with a hatch back box powered by a Mtx 1200W amp. I want an ipod hook up for the deck too.

I guess a security system would be handy too since all this new (and expensive) gear is going in.

I just wanted to see if anyone had a really good set up that doesn't compromise the little space we have in the back of our SUVs!

lets see.
Pioneer DEH-2000 headunit
Boston 6 1/2 speakers in door (awesome sound)
10" Sony Xplod
Profile AP1000 amp

i built a custom box that would match the angle of the rear seats and its as wide as one seat, so i can put one seat down still. i've got about 450$ into it.
