Thank You, they are honestly some of the best sounding speakers that I have heard in a car, definitely worth the money, In my opinion anyway...

I made mine out of 3/4" MDF, They are all over the internet for really cheap as well.

Great thanks! Seems like something I could make with some wood and a jigsaw. Do you think that 1/2" spacing would work or did you need the 3/4".
This will be my first system install. I installed the cd player myself.
Now I am going to be installing:
-6.5" components up front
-6.5" coaxials in rear (possibly)
-2 Amps and all wiring, grounding, speaker wire back to head unit, etc
-Peel and Seal (go Lowe's!!)
-Subs in rear
I don't even want massive bass, just good quality sound as I want to keep my 4Runner until 300k (125k currently)

Have you used that Peel and Seal before? It sounds promising, compared to the prices of Dyna-Mat or Rammat....

I have not. I did go to Lowe's and look at it though. It is pretty thin, but people on some other forums swear by it. There are a few videos on youtube of the difference it makes too.
It costs about $15 for 12.5 sq. feet (6"x25' roll) compared to Dynamat door kits that cost $100 per 12.5 sq. feet.
I saw on a few forums that it smelled like tar on hot days but it would air out easily...so that is a concern. Also a few people said it melted in their car, although no one had any pics to prove it...not sure if they were just saying that. Out of the 99% of people that used it, they said it was awesome and just like Rammat, Dynamat, Fat something, etc...
I am going to use it and then use foil tape to cover the edges. I am also going to put a layer of house carpet padding on top of it to help with extra padding, sound, etc (got that idea from Rock Slide).

The Peel n' Seal will be a fun job, If you are doing the entire vehicle I would suggest washing the carpet while it is out of the vehicle. Here is a website I found very helpful when I was researching Sound Deadeners, http://web.archive.org/web/20080205111051/www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/, It is an archived link becase he has removed his tests and is now selling damping products. It is a long but very educating read, he talks about the peel n' seal in there
It depends on what speakers you are installing but a 1/2" spacer should do the trick just fine, but if you have 3/4" leftover from building a sub box I see no reason to buy some 1/2" just for making spacers.

You are talking about the black plastic thing like in the front doors? How did you mount the rears if that is the case?
Installing my components up front was a good learning experience. Modding the black plastic thing, and then TAPING my gi-normous crossovers to the plastic inside the door.

1999 4Runner:
My truck acually had a Stealth box with a 10" JBL speaker when I bought it. That thing pounds! It is carpeted to match the truck, and allows the cargo cover to slide over it.
