Speaker ???

Has anybody installed 6.5 inch component speakers in the rear panel of 2gen 4runner. If so can you please post pictures.

Hey there BearF! Mounting components that far back is sorta' defeating the purpose of having them--the separate tweeter is for more accurately aiming the higher freq's (the most directional) directly at the listener's ears. I would go with simple coax's back there--your ears will never know the difference, and the mounting would be simpler. Keep the components for the front where they'll do the most good. Just my $.02, anyway. Glad to see you back for a visit!

I hacked a set of 6x9s in there, sounds pretty good after I plugged in a amp.

I totally agree with you Buck. I installed components in the front, and 6x9's in the rear passenger. ran new wires to the very back to a 500 watt amp, it sounds great!!
