Speedo Problem

Hey, i had some white indego gauges putin my 00 4Runner. These gauges justgo on top of the OEM ones. All i needed to do was to slip the new ones on. Nothing needed to be taken off or dissassembled. I put everthign back together and went for a drive. I noticed that my gauges are now approx. 20 KM/H off. If i floor it, the gauge moves really slowly, well, it 's like it's lazy. If i accelerate slowly, the car will actually shift before the speedo moves. Everything else is working perfectly. i was wonderign if it was the speedo sensor, but why would it have gone all wonky after i removed the aftermarket gauges? Anyway, i'm totaly lost, please give me a hand if you can. Thanks!!!

SPEEDO problem? Unless you're from Europe, you shouldn't be wearing speedos! I personally think NO ONE should wear Speedos, even if you are from Europe. HAHAHA...

:bugeye:

Ok, seriously... you might have snagged or moved the speedometer needle while installing the new gauges. Other than that... I don't know what would cause that.

make sure that the new faces are not putting any pressure on ther needle. i have seen gauges that read wrong because they are dragging along the face. sometime you have to pull the needle up just a it to get it to clear. Just pull it up a little, not off!!
