You might want to consider another option. You can have the axle(s) re-geared for about $400 per. Pricing varies so call around to get your best deal. Re-gearing not only fixes the speedometer and odometer but brings back most of the performance lost going to large wheels.
 
Ok. SO I would have to get both axels re-geared?
Can anyone direct me to a thread where I can read up more about gearing ect?
 
Re-Gearing would be the single most noticeable modification you can do to your vehicle other than 10 lb of boost or nitrous!

Whether you re-gear or not you will want to seriously consider this True Speed

Not sure if they make one for your vehicle, I put one on my Tundra and it sure shifts better, not to mention the speedo reads right now too!
 
since mine is a 4 cylinder, these tires are way too much for the 3.91 gears I have.

Swapping the OEM differential to a different gear such as 4.56 would help the speedo's accuracy and improve performance.
 
So what are my choices for gears and where do I get them from? Is this something I could install myself? Don't know anything about this topic and I'd really like to learn. More info please... :nerd: :boink:

what are some recommended gear ratios for 33" tires?
