That's a good point Brian - putting the strip behind the lens provides weather protection as an added benefit, without the need for additional waterproofing.

Are the LEDs in the corner lights from amazon or jdmastar? They're actually some of the brightest 194's available,I use them myself. My first pair was from jdmastar, one died and while waiting for the replacement (under warranty) to arrive I ordered the generic ones off Amazon with next-day Prime shipping. When the weather gets better I'm rewiring my corners so they do double-duty as turn signals.

Yep, those are from Amazon. I think they were like $7 or so?
 
Thank you for this! i followed your lift install and chose similar parts, i feel like i will do the same when it comes time to pull the trigger on this project as well.

There are a few other decent videos on YT if you search "3rd gen 4runner projector retrofit", not as long as Speedy's though. Should we start a new projector retro thread?
 
Yeah I contacted YT about having some of my content only available to subscribers and they don't support that. Got tired of all the emails asking questions blah blah from people who don't even subscribe.

It's super cheap. Join for a month if you want, get the info you need, and cancel. Skip Starbucks tomorrow LOL.

Might have to goto rumble or another service to have subscriber only content.

I never comment or ask questions on YT. Almost all videos are really quite clear, and I don't like to waste folks time.
