Hey guys. Need some suggestions/opinions.

Issue #1- ABS kicks on for about 2 seconds when cutting wheel hard to the left. When i have the truck in 4wd HI and i turn the wheel left it sounds like the abs is kicking on SERIOUSLY HARD. Im not exactly sure what this is, i know that the caliper on that side definitely needs replacing though....

Issue #2- Very loud whining sound from what seems to be under the drivers seat or firewall. It whines very loud when in drive at a stop. Never really happens in park. Transmission shifts pretty smooth, i have noticed it downshifting a bit harder lately though... Or could this be caused by the fact that i ran my subwoofer power wire through the drivers fender wall...

Issue #3- When starting from a stop, normal acceleration . At about 40-50 mph the truck almost shakes or hops ? Like something is out of balance or the driveshaft is out of whack. It smooths out once past 50mph.

Issue #4- When in park, neutral, drive, etc the truck will constantly kick the rpms up for about 10 seconds then back down to normal rpms. My coolant level is high, the overflow tank even has a bit of coolant in it. The temp gauge never reads over the mid point.

My tranny fluid looks dark red, not bright red, it is definitely not mixed with my coolant because my coolant is green. It has never been changed to my knowledge, i want to have it serviced but i want to know whats my best bet. Like i said, its starting to downshift a bit harder than normal so i want to catch it now. Drain and fill? Flush?

I know its alot of questions but if i could just get some insight i would really appreciate it.

I have read numerous threads on here saying that as long as you flushed your coolant and didnt mix green with red/pink you should be fine. I inadvertently drained mine when my rear coolant lines burst, i didnt know at the time we were supposed to use red only. So i replace it all with the green stuff, unless the coolant itself is causing my rpms to jump then i see no immediate danger...

Although, when replacing the lines i forgot to mark which line from the bottom of the truck went to the top in the engine bay. I dont think this would make a difference though seeing as its a supply and return system correct?

#1 sounds normal to me. Most vehicles feel like they're binding up when turning hard in 4WD.

#3 sounds like it might be a ujoint going bad.

No idea on the other two issues.

I have run green coolant for 135,000 miles since I bought the truck in 2002.

No coolant or trans issues to date.

#1 sounds like normal operation of the truck being in 4wd.

#2: maybe it's alternator whine from the stereo you put in. Does the whine go away when you shut the head unit off? Did you run the RCA cables on the same side as the power line? They should be on separate sides.

#3: how old are the tires? Sounds like maybe a shifted belt in the tire??

#4: Do you have the defroster+floor, and or defroster setting picked on the control panel?? When the A/C is on, which it will be with the 2 defroster settings, the rpms will jump up and down when the compressor kicks on an off..

Update:

I tried my 4wd on some loose mud yesterday and it still did the same thing only when turning left, its more of a grinding sound if i get moving at about 10 mph in 4hi i can hear it,

It almost sounds as if there is a piece of plastic hitting against a drive axle every time it makes a revolution. Like something needs greasing ? The sound will increase speed as i increase mph.

The tires i bought used but they are like new. I would say you may be correct but it did this with my old tires also...

I did in fact run the rca's on the same side as the power wire because i never had an issue with other cars...apparently this truck doesnt like that.

My heat/ defrost is never on when the rpms jump. It does jump worse when i have them on though. I should mention that my truck takes SO LONG to heat up. I start my truck via remote and let it run for 15 min, it will be barely blowing warm air when i get in, then i have to drive about 15 more minutes before there is a noticable difference in cab temp.
