SpiderTrax 1.25" VS 17x9 -12 Wheels

2016 TEP is my truck levelled 3"F / 2"R

My goal is to push out the wheel to flush with the fender/body or just slightly past

option #1 use the stock TEP wheels 17x7.5 and add SpiderTrax spacer 1.25"

option #2 buy a set of wheels that are 17x9 with -12 offset

if you guys have advice , pros cons , experiences with this style set up please advise

any rubbing issues with a 17x9 -12 with a 275 70 17 ?

also photos would be greatly appreciated

When possible, avoid wheel spacers. Buy new wheels with the proper offset to do what you want. My wheels are 17x8 with 4.5" back spacing and 0 offset. I sit flush with the fenders with a 295/70/17 Ridge Grappler. Keep in mind, the further you stick the wheels out, the more rubbing issues you will have. There is a VERY fine line between rubbing and not rubbing when it comes to the 5th gen.

In hindsight I would have found a set of 17x9 -12 wheels I liked. Those are 17x8 4.5" offset wheels and 265's in my sig picture.
