spidertrax and towing

Now that I have the daystar leveling kit in, it is reasonable clear that I need to get spacers or find another means to increase the track. I was going to order spidertrax but I also use the 4runner to tow.

I'd like to be able to pull up to 7000lbs still. Anyone with experience with spacers and pulling a large load?

What do you mean when you say "increase the track"? Are you referring to your traction, a larger tire size you would be able to put on, etc?
I've never heard of anyone having an issue pulling (towing) while running spidertrax, so IMO you'd be fine.

Adding spacers will increase the load and stress on the bearings and will cause them to wear out faster, even when the T4R is unloaded. Lengthening the track width will also increase stress on the axle, effectively decreasing your axle weight rating.

That being said, I towed my 5500lbs, 26' bunk house for a 10k without any ill effects, but the spacers were always in the back of my mind.

For a couple hundred more you can get new wheels unless you really like the look of your stock wheels I paid 500 for my rims and spidertrax are about 200 with shipping for all 4 just my 2 cents

Just use the red loctite with the spacers as what the instructions say and verify torque after a few hundred miles and you'll be fine. Yes, it adds a bit more leverage/stress to the suspension and bearings. However, so does, wider wheels, heavier tires (AT, MT, etc), traveling at higher speeds, off-roading, braking, accelerating, having people and cargo in the vehicle, etc. IMO, the 1.25" you add will barely be noticeable to the bearings and suspension.
