effectively all the spacers do is push the tire away from the Upper Control Arm. at the same time this is causing the tire to be pushed toward the fender well. at half crank you may see some rubbing issues out a 265/70r17. if you want to run 285s or even 275s, you will need a lift. i have a 2.5" spacer on the front with fj springs, i also cut my bumper and pushed my fender well lining forward. Still rub like a b**** with spidertrax, i also run 285/70 bfg:sorry:
