Yep, they are a little annoying but please remember this is a free site and relies primarily on advertising revenue to pay for server space. Clicks on google ads and patronage of banner ad sponsors are appreciated.
If it makes you feel any better you can't go to a pro sporting event these days without being bombarded by ads everywhere you look - and there you gotta pay tons of money for a ticket for the privelege of being subjected to them. At least here you get to see them for free

I don't have a problem with it as long as the site keeps on trucking...

I find it interesting when I log on, the sponsored post goes away. So I guess only people that are not members or members who don't log on see the ads.
What really gripes me about the ads, is they are running a ad called 4Runner's dirty secret. It turns out they want you to buy a Isuzu, of all things. Saying it is a much better buy. I guess they figure people who see the ad are not members so they may be looking to buy a 4Runner and of course they could sell you a Isuzu.

I wrote a thread about Isuzu saying they are basically dead in the water since they don't make anything except a re-badged Chevy Trailblazer.

That is right, the ads are on the top or bottom. If your not logged on, the ads come in the second post, on the left of the post the person's name is 'sponsored post'. The sponored post is more irrating since you have to get by it to read the second post. If they are at the top or bottom you can more or less ignore them if you want.dcampen said:

: ), so I guess thats why I never see it. I do see the ads though and I did click on the "Secret" link and was appaled to see that it had anything to do with an Isuzu

it's annoying... at first it was only on the bottom of each post, now it's embedded in the dang thread listing... ugh
