Sport Edition with Side Curtain Airbags?

Do any of you S.E. guys [or SR5s] have the side curtain airbag option?

Listed as an available option, but appears most everyone was dealer informed [oops - oxymoron, it's early] that you really couldn't buy it....

I have it in my 2004 Sport V8.

It is an option that is available but pretty much the only way you will get it is if you order straight from the factory. I highly doubt that any of the ones on the lot will have it. I wanted that option too but salesman told me I would have to wait six month! I did not feel like waiting that long so I went without it.

I have heard that most 4Runners on the west coast have them.

Here in the Gulf States region only some of the Limited models are ordered with the side airbags. I ordered my SE so as to be able to get them. The new studies are in and on average, there is a 50% reduction in side impact death with side surtain airbags. That statistic convinced me that it was worth the wait to get them.

My wife and I just purchased a sport with side curtain airbags. We happened to luck out and find it on a lot approximately 1 hour from where we live in Georgia.

As many thousands of new 4Rs as there are the hitting the streets, & only 8 colors, plan to see alot of 'brothers.'

I have a 2004 SE V8 AWD with side curtain airbags. I had dealers search all over for one but at the end of the day I had to special order. It took like 3 and a half months but it was worth it. By the way all you guys that got Titanium have awesome taste!!!:

My 2003 SE has them. I got mine in Cali off the lot. Just remember though, if you want seat covers, and have the side airbags, you have to make sure they are custom made to allow the airbags in the front seats to deploy...

Mine has them as well as most on the lot here.
