Work brought me to San Antonio the last few weeks and I stopped in for service before returning north. The dealer had 5 2010 4runners, 3 SR5s and 2 Limiteds, mainly 2wd. According to the salesman (taken with a grain of salt), they came in Tuesday and three were already sold.
They'll have some trouble selling the Silver Limited I looked at...somehow in delivery a GIGANTIC dent was installed in the driver's side passenger door! I honestly can't believe the salesman showed me a vehicle that they were applying BONDO to, hopefully they disclose this to anyone purchasing the vehicle.
But I digress, as others have said the 2010 is much, much better looking in person. I didn't realize that Toyota decided to include both an AC plug in the cargo area and retain the 4th gen's center console AC outlet. That is a big upgrade IMHO, in fact I am thinking seriously about adding an outlet in my 4th gen's cargo area. The cargo tray seems to be much more usfeul than the Double Decker ever thought about being, but it does take up quite a bit of floor space. Headroom is definitely improved in these models, but I wasn't impressed with the interior. Also, I'm looking forward to seeing a Trail Edition and a Limited with NAV.
Bottom Line: I plan on keeping my 08 Urban Runner a while longer; the new model has not blown me away...maybe after seeing a 4wd Limited or Trail Edition some horse trading will be in order, but not right now.
