Just spotted a silver 4th gen that was jacked up with an ARB bumper I think, and maybe a hi-lift on his roof rack, was hauling some mountain bikes with his hitch. I passed you on the S curve in Nederland -- and of course they didn't wave! It's going to be a good day when another 4Runner waves to me.

Spotted in Temecula, on Rancho Cal. Im trying to remember but it was either just before or after Thanksgiving. Even my wife was drooling over it :biggrin1:
She lived not to far from my old house in the Temecula area. This truck is very nice! And she is not bad looking either..

Since you're on the subject, I never understood what is the point of rolling around with a spare gas tank strapped to your roof 24/7 while you are in the city, with gas stations at every other block. I've seen this one guy parked near my wife's work place...for the past year he's had a gas tank and shovel strapped to his roof basket. Sometimes I wonder if it's actually empty and just for show, the gas tank looks really faded from UV exposure, I wonder if it's even safe to hold gas anymore, lol.
Only reason I noticed it is because my wife pointed it out when I was dropping her off for work on day and asked me, isn't that want I want to do too? :frusty:

Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it right?
I carry all my recovery/survival gear at all times. The other day I was thinking if I should get rid of the 40lbs of water I haul around since it's only been used once (to put out a camp fire), but then I'm like "what if I get stuck somewhere and need fresh water?!" ...so it stays.

Oh trust me, I totally get everything else (hi-lift, shovels, whatever), better safe than sorry for sure. Whatever floats your boat, IMO. But having the spare gas tank really boggles my mind, only because we literally have gas stations every few blocks. It also seems like a safety hazard to me, to have a couple of gallons of gas on you roof in a plastic container at all times.

Saw this thing being a beast and I had to catch it out if it's natural habitat, so I coaxed it out of the mountains and chased it into a corner and shot a couple pics. Who's is this SAS'd beauty? I literally turned around to get a picture.
