Anyone check the extended forecast? What if it down pours, are we still on?
I'll be on the trail rain or shine. If anyone wants to delay due to weather they are more than welcome to reuse the itinerary and GPX files any date they choose.

I'm still a go. I'm doing my brakes this weekend and some other maintenance to make sure I'm prepped. I'm really looking forward to this. It will be a good kickoff to my road trips this year!

I'm in too. Coming down after work on Thursday from Toronto, probably arriving in Harrisonburg VA well after dark.
Any suggestions / Walmarts in the area to pull over and nap in the back?
I'm the guy that's hoping to leave the 160k stocker at camp/trailhead and hitching a ride with a much cooler truck for the trail runs. Will bring boots for spotting.

Toronto? Impressive.
This Walmart South of town is probably your best bet for not getting hassled close to Harrisonburg. It's close to our Friday morning rally point.
There's also a small 8-10 site campground a little North of Harrisonburg off the Woodstock exit. Fee is ~$6/night. There's no water supply, but there are tent pads, fire ring, and a vault toilet or two. This one is off the highway and will be difficult to locate at night without a a GPS in the vehicle or a traditional GPS unit. Cell phone navigation (non-locally cached maps) can be spotty out there depending on your service provider.
Lastly, there's a Walmart about an hour North of Harrisonburg (near Winchester, Virginia) that's right off of I-81. That would save you an hour of travel at the end of a long night and make for an easy trip to Harrisonburg in the morning (about an hour South).
There are a ton of other places to post up/camp in the valley. I'm sure others will chime in here with other recommendations.

I'll be working near Petersburg for the next two weeks and will leave from there early Friday morning if you want to link up. I have see what that Friday or nong looks like but I am game for a link up.
