I love mine, it really makes a huge difference in enjoying driving the Runner. I haven't noticed any difference good or bad as far as gas mileage but that is not why I got it. It performs as advertised.
Yep, it's makes a night and day difference taking the snail-like throttle response to a jack rabbit.

Now, the stance has always been the Sprint Booster doesn't hurt or help gas mileage, this was first stated many years ago. BUT, what we've found is, for some people (depending on driving habits) have gotten slightly better gas mileage. Customers have told me (ones that divide their mileage out and travel a lot) have seen a bit better. For ex, If you're taking a a 200 mile trip on highway, without the booster installed, everytime you go to pass someone, if you hit the gas and don't get the throttle response you want, you naturally PRESS the gas pedal further down, which would make you say go from 4th gear and downshift to 3rd gear, putting you at a HIGHER rpm. Higher rpm's burn more fuel. On the course of a long trip that can add up. With the Sprint Booster installed, when you hit the gas to pass something, you get IMMEDIATE response, no need to press the gas further to get what you want, it's just there... So the tranny doesn't need to go from 4th, up the 3rd gear anymore... Now, the reason to buy the Sprint Booster isn't for this reason, and this is only some customers that have told me this and I don't know all their driving habits, most say they didn't notice a difference. Again, the main reason get this is to FIX the slow ass throttle response, which this does, but some of my customers have called to tell me they did see slightly better mileage.
A few other things that makes this special, besides the throttle fix are these new features (and some have bought this just for these reasons):
NEW - VALET MODE: Valet mode lets you set an rpm point that the car can't go over. Good for when you don't want someone joyriding at the dealer or when you don't want your wife beating your vehicle around, yea like you'll let her drive it, lol.
NEW - LOCK OUT MODE: Lock out mode let's you set a pin and if someone breaks in and tries to steal your car, the gas pedal is locked out and they are going nowhere! Ex, say your park at an airport or a place your aren't comfortable with. Many say it gives them more peace of mind. Yes, if someone really wants to steal your car, they will find a way, but this is just another layer of protection may make them take someone else's car.
WILL NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY: I also have these for just about every car there is, so ask if you want to try on your other vehicles. As far as dealership concerns there is a law called the Magnuson Moss Act. Sprint Booster works manufacturers OWN safety protocols so it's a no worry option.
