Sprint Booster DEAL for 5th Gen 4Runner

I got my 2011 SR5 back and it definitely feels sluggish compared to my other ride (a 2021 Audi SQ5…lol). It’s my dog hauler so I definitely don’t drive it like I stole it, but it still needs a little something. Was going to get the PC first but settled on the Sprint Booster thanks to this forum and Jason B. Can’t wait to plug it in!

Great! :thumb: [MENTION=675763]CO_ForeUnner[/MENTION] - It's funny how many people that say "Oh, my wife mainly drives my truck and she doesn't care about that type of stuff, or she wouldn't notice", lol. Women typically like to feel secure when merging on the highway/passing, etc. and these trucks don't give that feeling, UNTIL the Sprint Booster is installed. It's goes from a turtle to a jack rabbit.

I have these back in stock again and shipping 2nd day air.

We drove a fair amount today and she really likes the SB. She's coming from a 360HP twin turbo BMW X3, so the T4R felt very sluggish. It's much better now. I think we have it set at Race3 right now.

I'm new here, but I've had the 4runner for a year. Definitely noticed the throttle lag the first time I drove it. I figured I'd get used to it eventually, and it's not supposed to be a sporty car.

Well, eventually never came. It's time to fix the problem. I just ordered one from Jason. Looking forward to it..:happy:

It should be every owners first mod. I have had mine for years and love it. I keep mine on Race 7 but I like it super sensitive. I have had mechanics freak out as they thought I had an ECU tune. It makes all the difference. Also, the SB vs. PC , with SB you can make the settings and unplug the controller making is stealth. I keep the controller in the glove box as I never adjust it. If I had a kid I would put it in valet mode. :wink2:

Exactly, that's another cool feature. You can unplug it and make it completely stealth, with nothing visible. It feels like an ECU tune. At a red light, you'll beat a ford Raptor off the line, no joke, but then he will spank you after 100 feet :) If he doesn't have a Sprint Booster!

Sprint Booster

I will receive my sprint booster tomorrow for my Luna Rock 22 Trd sport and can wait to install it. Great talk with with Jason tonight. Thanks for your help.
 
Great product, great service

I just wanted to chime in after a couple of years with the Sprint Booster. The product does what I need it to in terms of getting rid of lazy throttle mapping and it needs to be said that Jason provides a level of customer and product support rarely found these days. Highly recommended.
 
I received my Sprint Booster a few days ago, and am really impressed with how much it improved the driveability of the 4Runner! It makes the throttle body instantly match my intentions with the pressure applied to the gas pedal. I tried several different settings, and settled on the one that matches my driving style. The way I would describe it, is it makes the existing power more usable. I don't know why Toyota designed the throttle on the 4Runner with so much lag. It's only been a few days, but my gas mileage has also increased slightly.

This video really helped me understand what the Sprint Booster does, and seeing it in action is what sold me. Really you only have to watch 0:36 to 1:27 to get it.

I mounted the controller in one of the accesory blanks on the left side of the steering wheel so I can adjust settings if needed.

Got mine installed over the weekend. What a difference it makes! Much better response and a more enjoyable vehicle to drive. Set ours at Green 8 with 285/70/17’s and it’s perfect
