I have a pedal commander - same basic Idea, did wonders for my 2018. I live in Florida and spend a lot of time driving on the highway above 70MPH. I average 18.5 MPG when I go 75+ mph and average about 19-20MPG when I keep the speed below 70. Sometimes I get as high as 21MPG if I am not reving too hard. Gas mileage really takes a hit when the engine is rev'ed above 2K. My settings are City +4 on the pedal commander.

My settings are at the same city 4 and I see easily 1mpg increase per tank. And I see an increase in drivability when getting on the highway etc. I use the lockout option so I had to place it at the lower left hand console so I could access it.
I actually installed mine in the glove box. There is an empty switch plate that popped out easily and I routed through the hole to the pedal. I did not want to see the module or the lights while I was driving. I completely agree with you on the drivability aspect - This was probably the best purchase I have made to date for my 4runner.

Yes and no. The only thing the Sprint Booster does is mimic driving with a "heavier foot" so in that respect there will be more wear and tear.
That said, this may well cause warranty woes.
The Germans have this great word "Jein" which is a combination of yes and no.
While nothing will be recorded that says "Sprint Booster", they will be able to deduce that from the stored driving data.
Will they care? It depends. If your issue is one that is normally associated with these types of mods, then they may look for evidence of an install. If they look hard enough then they'll find some evidence that it was there.
But - it is very unlikely that they'd look.

No and that’s the beauty of this.
I’ve sold 5 this week for 2019 models. Same one works for 2010-2019 4Runner’s which have the exact same drive by wire setup. Ive now sold a total of 96 sprint booster 5th gen specifically in the last 3 months!
Also using a heavier foot WILL NOT help you without this installed. And here is why. Watch the first 3 min of this video. Your FOOT can never do this on a 4Runner.

Uhhm, so why did I buy Sprint Booster? Well mostly because I hate the stock mushy pedal 90% when overtaking on freeway or even more on road trips when you get on those long stretches of single lane roads behind slow moving camper, etc. and need to take opportunity to pass quickly and safely.
And what do I think about Sprint Booster after installing today in my 2018 TRD Pro? Mindful that 1 day is not much time exploring the effects in various conditions or playing around with various device settings but to be real, the settings are all ultra slight variations on the same theme IMHO.
That theme is immediate full throttle response which will propel you quicker into those passing/overtaking situations but so far in my observation this benefit is at the cost of somewhat erratic over-revving in unintended circumstances and also erratic shifting. I will give it more time to explore but even if for just the passing responsiveness, I would probably keep it wired in and drive with it off most the time except when approaching a passing situation in which case I would press the booster button to enable a stored green 9 and punch it to pass after which disabling it again.
Preliminary verdict.... If you want a more punchy throttle response to accelerate more quickly whether for passing or for whatever other reason and have a few hundred $$$ burning a hole in your pocket then buy it like I did. It is minimal, super easy to install and well put together. However if you hope for the punch in combination with maintaining a finely tuned revving and shifting performance then you might not be happy. Again just my experience and opinion based on one day of use.... others seem to love it so won't discount their opinions.

This is by bar my best mod to date! The truck really was a pig without it. I was stubborn at first thinking it wasn't that bad and it's crazy the difference it makes.

Quick install question. Should I try to zip tie the SB to a support under the dash or can I just let it hang free. I know to avoid the AC return lines, but I think I could find another place if it is needed.
