Squeak From Rear

I hear a squeak or something from the rear cargo area. Could it be the weather stripping? It's a 2006 with 126k on the clock.

The squeaking may come from the rear hatch latch or the rear seat latches. Try greasing it.

Put some white lithium grease on the rear hatch latch and see if it goes away. Mine did.

I had a squeak that I noticed anytime I closed a door. It ended up being the rear hatch latch. I did 1 wrap of electrical tape where I saw abrasion on the hoop part and it's quiet now.

I have some squeaking back there too. I'll look at greasing the latch and see if that helps.

Funny to see this thread today when I am just getting back form vacation. I had a squeak in the back that started up last weekend. Sprayed the hatch lock mechanism and the catch with with some white lithium grease yesterday and it has been silent since then. 400 miles and no squeaking.

if it sounds like a dolphin clean your door jambs (especially the one on the hatch) really well and all of the rubber and it will go away.
