Squeak in Driver-Side Front Suspension

I am starting to experience a squeak in my suspension in the front and on the driver side. The first thing I started hearing was a distinct "whooshing" sound which I figured was coming from the shock, but now I don't hear that anymore and instead just the squeaking sound from what I assume is the coil.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

I doubt its the coils. Most likely a bad shock. You didn't say if they are stock and how many miles are on them, but could be bad bushings on the shocks. The whooshing definitely sound like a bad shock...the squeak could easily be a worsen degree of the whooshing.

I had a squeak that was really annoying. Ended up being a bad sway bar bushing. Easy enough to check. Just go under and see if they look bad like this haha.

Rocky5000100,

I replaced the swaybar bushings a few months ago, and yes, they were about like yours!

I figured the whooshing sound was probably from the shock and was just a little confused when it developed into a squeak. Thanks guys!
