Squeaky breaks 2020

Getting some squeaking from the breaks on my 2020. I believe its due to it being so cold and foggy out the past few weeks. Squeaking only happens when parked out in the lot at work but it does it every time. Occurring when stoping to exit the gate and turning on the street. The rest of the ride home is quiet and this doesn’t happen when parked in the garage. Any remedies for this or is it a deal with it type of situation that is weather based? I know surface rust and moisture can do this sometimes. Never experienced something this consistent. Appreciate any suggestions thanks.

Same thing happening with my 2020. I gotta park it outside right now and without fail every morning the first stop or 2 the brakes squeak. Not a huge concern but definitely annoying for a brand new vehicle.

Same here on 2020 trd off road. Noticing on colder days parked outside. Has been pretty humid here interested to see if it's ongoing into the winter. I did some research on the forum and other online came to your same conclusion - probably nothing sinister going on. It is quite noisy tho.

Same on my 2019, goes away after a couple of stops. Do not remember brakes squeaking on my 2015, so curious if they changed the pad materials.

Same on my 2020 TRDP. Squeaky backing out of the driveway then it clears up. Seems like it just started since it got cold.

It's annoyingly loud in the beginning but i'm hoping it's something that goes away all together eventually. I can't even blame the cold or condensation because none of the other 8 other vehicles i've owned (majority bought brand new) in the last 20yrs had this and MN winters are consistently shitty.

Same thing on 2020 limited with about 1,000 miles. It's episodic, but seems to happen in winter conditions, with dew and/or fog.

Same here - very loud, annoying brake squeal on cold days. Will last for around four or five brake applications.

Happens to me too. It's annoying and a little embarrassing especially when the car is brand new.

since its a brake issue, I doubt the warranty will do anything. so...get some synthetic brake caliper grease. apply it to the back of the pad, anywhere it touches the caliper, and wherever the pad touches the bracket.

I have a 2020 offroad premium and it does the same thing. It's parked in a garage most of the time and still does it. My vette does it after it's washed or if it's driven in the rain. I assume it's minor surface rust on the disks. I agree, it's disappointing, but don't think there's probably a solution.

Toyota 4Runner 5th GenVehicle problems:
problem #1: Squeaky brakes on a brand new $56,000 “2020” 4runner Limited. I’ve heard it’s due to cold weather, well I live in Florida so then I was told it was due to hot weather. My reply, for a brand new automobile that costs $56,000 it should drive in Alaska and not squeak..
Problem #2: on the navigation screen a warning pops up. We’re getting warnings for “Pre-collision and vehicleVehicle Stability Control Malfunction has occurred
A malfunction in the pre-collision system has occurred. Do not rely on the system please contact your Toyota dealer immediately, your vehicle needs to be inspected. I brought it to Toyota they said they couldn’t duplicate the problem and that there’s nothing wrong with the truck.

Thats odd. I had the stealership replace the rear rotors/pads and front pads last November on my 2014. Since then I have had a squeak from my driver rear when coming up on a slow roller stop (just after it's been sitting). It was annoying, but I could live with it, but then I noticed all the dust that was stick to the wheel.
I wonder if Toyota(or their supplier) has changed the rotor material slightly and it squeaks and throws off a ton of dust. IDK, I guess it could be a bad pad too. I've had a lot of brake jobs done on vehicles over the years, and I've never had a squeaking after a week, unless the vehicle sits a long time and the rotor corrodes.
I've taken it back as I don't want to have to hand scrub the one wheel to get it decent when all the others come clean in the car wash. Nothing obvious was wrong, I'll see how it goes over the next month or two.
