I own a 02' SR5 with leather seats and whenever I sit in my front seat, go over a bump or turn, my seats make a creaky noise that drives me crazy... anyone else with this problem or know how I can fix it, please help... Thanks 02Silvr4runner

I don't know if this'll help, but I had a similar problem in my 04. When I leaned back in the seat, the noise was near the floor at the right rear of the seat. I could actually feel the creak when I put my hand on the seat rail.

It turns out that the piece of the lower seat rail assembly that bolts to the floor is riveted to the rail itself. Leaning back in the seat would cause a slight bit of movement between the riveted pieces.

I dripped some 303 Protectant into the assembly and the noise disappeared instantly and has stayed away so far.

Good luck. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip, I looked into that, but the sounds seem to be coming from the edges of the seats where the leather rubs against the plastic molding where the seat adjustors are located. If anyone has experienced the same problems or has any remedies they would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like a leather dressing might provide enough slip to quiet it down.
