Squeaky spoiler

Hi!

My 05 SE V6 has a squeak which the dealership doesn't or won't hear. I have done a search and tried all the "fixes" for the noise some people are hearing in the back right, but none of them has fixed my squeak!! Anyways, while washing the 4runner yesterday, I discovered that the spoiler will move a little and it squeaks!!

Now, everyone run out and see if their spoiler has some movement to it!!! I am wondering if it is suppose to be perfectly tight or should it have some give to it and just needs some lubricant to stop the squeaking.

I kept checking the roof rack to see it it was that....never thought about the spoiler. I love my 4runner, but this noise has got to go! I just hope I found the problem.

Mine does the same thing if you pull on it a little. It may look solid, but it has to be lightweight, and it's not rock solid in the mounting. I have a hitch step bar for my 4Runner, and when I'm cleaning the roof, I make sure not to grab the spoiler.

However, mine does not make ANY noises on its own, or while driving. Only when you tug on it lightly.

It's funny that you guys bring this up...I just noticed that squeek today. I notice it going over small bumps. It sounds like it's coming from the right rear quarter panel or roof liner (not exactly sure yet). I'll check the spoiler tonight.
Sweed...You're right about one thing...I love my T4R but the squeek has got to go!!!
