From the looks of it that metal flap that needs to be bent back seems way down into the bulb housing. What are you guys using to bend it... got some descent room passenger side but in front of the battery it's pretty tight (I know I'll probably have to move the battery to gain some room). Thanks

I've heard of most folks using their finger to bend it forward. Otherwise a pencil, eraser-side inward, would work well. You just have to move them a bit. Also, be careful not to break them, which I have read can happen.

I found manipulating them to be way more of a PITA than otherwise suggested by others. Also, it didn't really do much for me. I tried a huge range and couldn't really notice a difference. I used a pencil to bend down. I then had this hook tool I used to pull it back up a little. I also had to remove my battery.
