SR5 Extra buttons/ Trunk Mirrors

Hey I was just wondering what those of you who have the Basic model did or can do with these extra buttons?
And does anyone have an idea what could be done about the trunk mirrors?
I know speakers are in place of the mirrors on the limited.

Those buttons that you reference are actually just blanks. They just fill the voids where optional buttons/switches would be located. You can either purchase aftermarket or OEM buttons to fit in those spots. There are many threads on the forum with options from adding lighting to lockers/winches and so forth.

What do you mean 'what to do with the mirrors?' I'd say use them!? Some people like them and some folks don't. If you don't like them, you could spray paint them tan so they'll blend in with the trim. Not fancy but it's effective. [MENTION=99720]JLMXD[/MENTION] - I have the speaker grills in mine and actually would prefer the mirrors. If you feel like swapping let me know!

people do various things to the empty buttons, aftermarket seat warmers, switches for any extra lights, extra usb ports. Basically any accessory you would want to add to your car aftermarket, you can use those empty spaces as the switches/buttons/knobs, etc.

These are some of the option that came with it and there are a few more off the trail edition and the speakers in the mirror is apart of the jbl package I believe and that comes along with a bother speaker in the middle of the dash and the sub in the rear corner panel.

Those mirrors actually come in super handy. For rear-in parking, for ensuring you don't hit a child, and for catching some of your blind spots.

a small flat head screw driver can remove all switches/ blanks by pushing it in between the top or bottom

I came from an 03 that had tweeters in the back to having the mirrors, I tried to get the tweeter brackets to put tweeters back there in my 08 but you have to buy the whole assembly which isn't cheap. I actually use the mirrors every now and then, not as much as I should because I forget they're back there, but they come in handy for switching lanes in traffic or backing into a parking spot
