and in the vid...on stock tires no less...

thanks for all of the support guys...i sort of knew all of this, i just wanted some sort of 'professional' review from someone to tell me more i guess...

like...https://expeditionportal.com/the-2019-toyota-trd-pro-line-reviewed/
some of which is about toyota wanting the marketing against their competitors, but still...

but ill also keep saying it...cmon toyo, just give us LC 70s with some added airbags to pass the fed's safety testing...and many of us will be squarely content.

Stock SR5 4WD, VERY CAPABLE. It shocked me just how capable and that is on stock crappy tires. My other 4x4 is a FJ40 for reference.

lukeskywalker;I would bet that you can get crawl control on the sr5 through some modifications.[/QUOTE said:
Define "some". If I were going to attempt it, my modification would be to buy another 4R with that comes w/CC

I wouldn't modify an sr5 to get crawl control either lol. I'm saying that you could if you really wanted to. Because all the mechanics are there.

If you want really crawl control, obviously don't get an sr5. But a lot of people dont feel they need all that aid in off road. A lot of people with crawl control dont use it.

Everything else besides CC is pretty much doable to make a TRD pro from an sr5. And if you REALLY wanted CC, you could install it with some pain.

And you can make an sr5 way more capable than a trd pro.

My SR5 is great off road. I have gone places where my sliders and skids were necessary, and I have yet to get myself stuck in a situation where ATRAC can't get me out.

ATRAC is pretty amazing.

I don't think many of these "professionals" are good at their jobs, I would say aside from a select few at Toyota the worlds subject matter experts in 5th gen 4runners reside on this forum ( I am not one....)
