Is the gearing the same on SR5 models compared to TRD models from the factory? Drove my wife’s SR5 today and it seems to have less power than I remember my TRD Pro having.

It could be the ECU learning the driving style of the person driving it over time. Which is a good thing, it means she drives slow.
It probably shifted a bit earlier under normal acceleration?
Wide open throttle should be the same though, is that what you tested?

Are you saying the ECU on these are adaptive?? I would be surprised if that were the case.

They definitely are.
Pull the negative battery cable off for a bit, reconnect and I bet the truck feels more torque-y as well as the "miles to empty" will reset. Everyone's "miles to empty" right after filling up is lis actually different as the truck actually learns the driving habits and adjusts.

Yup. It scoops all the envious looks as SR5/limited drivers stare at your bulge and converts them to pure horsepower.
