Stability control system

I have a completely stock 2001 4runner. Put a 3 inch lift kit, and the stability control went bonkers.
I recalibrated it, and it was better.
It still tries to cut power randomly accelerating from complete stops, or trying to accelerate after coasting at low speeds.
Would I be better off disabling it, or recalibrate it a differently?

Did you get this problem solved? My guess would be an ABS sensor wire pulled tight, or damaged during the lift install.

I actually haven't yet. I recalibrated it twice. The weird thing is it's cutting power when I'm stopped or coming to a stop, not when taking corners.

I might. But a friend has the same 4runner and the same lift with no issues

I meant something probably got damaged during the lift install and y'all just didn't realize it happened. There are a lot of heavy objects moving around and it'd be easy to briefly pinch a wire or pull it too tight and not realize it got damaged.

ABS sensors will **** with the stability control?

Yeah, the stability control system uses the wheel speed sensors (which is what has been meant by ABS sensors) to determine if one or two wheels are spinning faster than the others, and will then brake those wheels and cut power in the Hope's of fixing it.

I don't know enough about the actual programming protocols to know how the computer would react to a brief interruption in connectivity to one of those sensors, but I could see it assuming that something was wrong in one way or another and trying to step in to help you.
