Standard Equipment on Limited trim level

Does every Limited model come with the rear diff lock as standard equipment, even the auto transmissions? I am thinking of traveling to check out a 98 Limited with auto trans, but I am not interested if it doesn't have the locker and the person can't tell me if it has it or not (I did send them a pic of where the button should be)

But if the rear diff drain plug is on the lower left (when looking at the rear) that indicates the locker doesn't it? I think that was true of the Tacomas of the same generation.

Post the picture of the rear end you are mentioning. If the seller doesnt know if its there, than I have found 99% of the time it doesnt have the locker.

Just look at the front of the diff on driver's side where the actuator sits.
 
Thanks- I know what you mean and where to look, but the lady I am trying to get the info from is 300 miles away and doesn't want to crawl under the truck or take more pictures, so I was trying to go on the pictures she did provide. I think I can see the actuator harness on the top of the rear axle in one picture, but it may be an abs sensor, I am not sure. I am hoping she will get back to me about the button. There is a shadow where the button would be on the dash so I can't be quite sure if the diff lock button is there or not.

I do appreciate everyone's suggestions.
 
So this is the only pic I have of the rear end. Is the part in the white circle there part of the actuator harness do you think?

Couldnt you just ask if it has the diff lock button on the dash? Seems like that would be the easiest route.

Every Toyota diff I have seen has it there. Even 2WD. Granted I haven't looked at a whole lot but they're all there AFAIK.

My Limited has the diff-locker to the left of the steering wheel, next to the dash light changer. If you want pictures I'll be happy to get some. Not completely sure if you can tell from the exterior very well

OP sent a pic of where the button should be on the dash to the seller. Seller still couldn't tell the OP whether or not it has the E-Locker.

Clueless Seller doesn't seem willing to take and send extra pics that could determine whether or not the vehicle has the option. All the OP can do to figure it out at this point is from pics that were already sent.

I did read the original post. Then I read a bunch of posts telling someone to crawl underneath the truck and look at the dif. To me if on cant read a button that says "RR dif Lock" then you surely aren't going to get them to identify a actuator motor on the dif. KISS.

Agreed that if you can't figure it out by that then just give up. I just think this whole thing is getting pointless lol.

Although nothing in this thread indicates whether or not the OP determined that the 98 Limited is even 4WD, lol.

Would the seller even know? lol.
