Start up sound in the morning?

Hi all!

I always am paranoid when there is any kind of new sound on my 4runner. Lately, when I start up in the morning out of the drive way it sounds like a "faint... plastic... fan... clicky" sound for about 1 to 2 minutes of driving. Then the sound goes away. It is not loud at all but the 4runner is my daily driver so I can tell.

I have checked under the hood and everything seems a'ok!

Has anyone heard this sound? My poor baby has 80k on it and acts like it has 2k. I hope I get 100K more out of her. Never had a better vehicle.

it's a bzzzzzt noise for me. it's normal.

When the weather gets cold you're bound to hear a few things that you don't typically notice in the warmer seasons. Also, I noticed you've got a V8 and are sitting at about 80k, while I doubt it's anything serious, if you want to be thorough you might be sure your timing belt is in working order as they are supposed to be changed out at the 90k mark. Other than that, it's probably just the cold, but I guess without hearing it myself I can only speculate.

I know with my previous vehicle when it was cold out the lifters and injectors, and so forth clicked louder than normal, don't know why, but they did. Never hurt anything.
