Last couple of threads I've had about DIY stuff has been shot down but after some measuring the gears started to turn for me and a buddy of mine that had this laying in his back yard...His cousin is a welder but we measured and it looks like we'd be able to bolt it on and if anything the only thing we'd have to do is drill some new holes in the bumper to accommodate the 4runner. so I know this is a bad picture but any advice would help, thanks...

I forgot to mention...it's a jeep bumper.:withstupid:

Only way to know is to try. There's only about 6 bolts holding the front bumper on. Just unbolt and see what you've got to work with. I can't imagine it being too bad, just going to need to fab some brackets to attach it to the frame.

You wanna bolt it to the bumper? Might look a little funky and kind of defeat the purpose of that jeep bumper. Take the stock bumper off and see if you can get it to the frame. Might have to drill a couple holes in the frame and/or fab some brackets. Is the jeep bumper wide enough for the 4runner? Seems like it would be a little small.

That was my first thought aswell however the bumper fits flush with the body, not the fender flares which I'm content with. The bumper has a main bar that attaches to the jeep frame and to my surprise the 4runner bumper brackets are within 3/4 of an inch of where the bolt on holes are for the bumper....if that makes sense? Also from the measurements we took the bumper would sit flush with the grille so we're hoping all we'd have to do is drill some new holes i guess theres just a few things I'm worried about

1. is it okay to mount them on the two 4runner bumper brackets

2. if i have to drill new holes how do i do it

3. if I have to make new brackets where can I get the material and how would I do it?

4. I'm worried cause the stock bumper is mounted with horizontal nut bold patterns but the jeep bumper requires a vertical patern... if that makes sense
