So, the other morning i went to start my truck and i went to crank they key and got no response just a *click* and that was it. I tried two more times and figured the batterie was dead since it wouldnt start. But i had all my interior lights and they were all bright. So i jump started it atleast i thought i did and i still had to crank the key a few times before it finally cranked over and started. Drove it on the freeway for awhile at 60 to charge the batterie if it was low at all. But this morning the same thing, but this time i continued to crank the key three times and then it finally cranked and started just fine. Any idea what this could be? starter sylinoide? Thanks

It's more than likely the starter. Mine did something similar not long ago. I started having long cranks and it eventually just clicked when I turned the key. Was able to have mine rebuilt and now it cranks right up like new.
I would check it soon before you wear it out too much, its cheaper to rebuild than buy a new starter.

Same thing happened to me last week, although, it was after sitting home when I was on vacation for 4 days. I hopped in the day I got back to go to the auto parts store, and it only turned over once. First thought was the battery. Checked it and sure enough, the contacts were corroded. New battery? That was my problem.
