Whats up guys? I have a 1990 runner in rough shape. My wife just gave me permission to dump around twenty grand into it. The thing is, I don't know alot about cars. 4Runners are one of my favorite cars. I wanna beef this thing up and I need some guidance. First things first what is a solid engine and trans?

No, I like the 90 body style. Plus I have a blank canvas with this one. 90's are kind of hard to find anyway from what I hear. Anyone have any good motor and trans tips?

Grand buy a hell of a nice truck complete and ready to roll

Is it super clean cosmetically, have MAJOR sentimental value? If so, I can dig it.
Full resto? Trail rig with SAS? Motor swap? I gotta say that the anemic 3.0 would certainly upset me for what I use mine for (off-road camping etc)
