Ok my t4r has been giving me intermiten starting problems. When I go to start it it will act as if its a dead battery. Usually apon cycleing the ignition it will start. It did it today and would not start .Think it could be a battery i pulled it and had it tested. Tested good so I went back home and what do you know first try started right up. I'm going to pull the starter and have it tested. Does anyone have any other ideas of what t his could be?

Not necessarily.. If you're going to remove the current 'unknown conditioned' starter you could at least crack it open and check the contacts. If they're worn down pretty good go to the dealership to get some new ones, put them in, and get it tested. Most likely will check out. If the contacts look fine, I would also recommend getting it tested bc it may have just bit the dust all together. So spending $5 on contacts is a lot better than what a new starter will cost you. Just my .02

I've been having problems keeping my 4runner running in the morning. I have remote start, first crank sometimes won't start the engine, it will crank but won't fire up. Second time this morning it started up, then died, and died again 2 times more before I went out and started it with the key. My alternator has been whining recently, could that be why?
