Starts sometimes

Ok so my 85 runner is giving me more grief. Most of the time when I turn the ignition she starts up fine, but lately I turn the key and the starter just clicks. All the lights come on in the dash, radio and CB have power but no start. Sometimes on the second or third try she will turn over other times I have to wait a few hours before it will start, occasionally it just wont and I have to jump it. It is a new battery and a new starter. The alternator seems to be working fine as the battery holds a good charge. Is there anything else that can be causing this? Unfortunately this is my only vehicle and I need it to get to school and work. Any suggestions? I have tried many things including changing to contacts on the battery.

I didn't find the exact thread I was looking for, but this one shows the wire and how to fix it.

I'm not positive this is your problem, but over time it almost always gives the trucks problems.

I would replace the starter relay. Its location is shown in the picture from the previous reply in the black box. I would also do what Ovrrdrive recommends. Its a good fix.

Thanks for the reply! I took a look at this on my truck and it is not even a single wire its 2 wires twisted together and electrical taped like crazy!
