STATIC threw sub

hello guys,

i recently put in a MTX sub with a ROCK FOSTGATE amp, and when i have my radio on, the amp turn on via the 12V remote wire, but anyways when i am not thumpn around with my sub allthe way up (just on) i hear alot of buzzzzzzzzzz uhh zzzzzzing from my sub, and it is when i touch the gas peddle and the RPM goes up,

my dad said i shoud up a regulator in, but i dont knw where to find one...


and help on how to get rid of the anoying buzzzzz from my sub???

the noise is engine noise picked up by the RCA's for your sub. You can buy an engine noise blocker or something that connects to the wires. not sure how else to fix it but I think that is your problem.
 
You need to either get better RCA's (expensive ones are expensive for a reason). Or you need to go back through your wiring and make sure everything is tight and secure and also try to see if you can get it away from any major power source. By that I mean don't run you RCA's next to your power cable for the amp. They should always be run on opposite sides of the vehicle from each other, and if they have to get close or cross path's, try to make them perpendicular to each other - that should help out with a lot of noise.
 
You shouldn't hear those sounds through your sub....

Make sure that on the amp you have the low-pass filter switched on... and set your crossover around 80 hz.

Otherwise you can try a groud loop isolator, and if that doesn't fix it you will more than likely have a bad amp.
