I like that. What does it look like from inside the vehicle at night? any glare on the hood?

No glare on the hood, because the the angle of the roof does not allow the beam to even shine on the hood. Make sure you keep your sunroof shade closed though

But there is something that doesn’t right look right in the last pic of the “sun”; it looks like it is aim up to high and could be angled down a couple more degrees. The low beams top out at 3’; highs are around 6’; the middle of the “sun” look like it is 12’ in the air.

You are totally right, I just have not had a chance to adjust it to the proper height yet. The fact that it is twice as high as the headlights will cause the two beams to 'triangulate' at some distance in front of the car, so I need to find some time to play around with it until I find an angle that I like.

I agree. If you check out the specs on the Hanma/Totron bars, you'll see that the single row bars use 24 5W CREE bulbs (120W total), while the double row bars use 48 3W CREE bulbs (144W total).

In reality, you are only giving up 24 total watts, or 1W per bulb, by going with the single row bar.

Actually the 40" DRs that I've seen are 240W and have about 80 3W CREEs. The single row bar for every size is half the wattage of its double row counterpart. My old 30" bar was 180W and my current SR (like yours) is 90W.

I'll try this weekend, but no guarantees...I'm usually out at the bars before dark, which makes it tough to get any pictures of the 4R at night

Awesome, once you get it re angled, can you update the pictures please. I'm wondering how far you can tilt it down before the roof line acts as a cut off.

It does a great job of lighting up everything from about 10' in front of your car onward. The fog lights fill in the rest. In my last photo, the flood part of the combo is really diluted by the intensity of the spot portion, but I promise that it does a good job all around.

I'll get some pics tonight of the adjusted position. I had to modify my brackets a little and raise the bar 3/16" in order to be able to rotate the bar down without hitting the roof.

Cool. I have the same 40" bar on my rood in combo pattern and it does a fantastic job lighting everything up.
