Steel brake line - need help

Guys,

Changing the calipers, rotors and pads on my 1998 4Runner. The short steel hydraulic line on the passenger side that connects to the caliper twisted off. I have searched the net high and low and cannot find the part. Any suggestions?

Go to Advance and tell them you need a 6" or 12" piece of Japanese brake line. Problem solved for $7.

Not quite. I am assuming since he is asking, that he doesn't own a brake flare tool, or even know how to flare.

Why would you need to flare? You can buy pre flared brake line. I did the same thing myself. Exact same situation. Plug and play.

Guys, thanks for the help. Went to Advance Auto and got a 12 inch pre flared length. Bent as best I could and I'm back in business. Appreciate the heads up on the auto store having the Japanese preflared pipe. Would have never guessed that.

advance and auto zone didn't have it, i had to go to the dealer, i got both lines (each side) prebent for $8 total.

Yeah I have a 12" down there too. It is a bit long, but it works.
