steering and suspension

I have a 98 runner 4x4 with over 240k miles on it that i have had for about a year and havent had too many problems with it. The truck is all over the place right now and seems to be getting worse with the steering and when i hit any bumps in the road. Just ordered oem lbj for it. Going to need a new rack. Thinking maybe oem so there wont be any other problems with it and has the oem inner tie rods even though i would like to save some cash. Should I go with the 02 model since it has the better rack guide? What else should I look to replace? outter tie rods too? It does have a 3in rough country lift on it from the previous owner and not too sure how old the struts are. Thinking maybe i should get new struts as well for it. suggestions and comments welcome before I start throwing money at this thing

I'd replace everything on the front suspension at 240k miles. OEM LBJs, inner and outer tie rods, sway bar bushings, LCA bushings, UBJ, and poly steering rack bushings, even if you go for a new rack I'd still put the poly ones in.

Rough country lifts usually aren't considered the best...

so replacing the rack with a 02 would work right? plus i would get the advantage of the newer style rack guide or with a new rack would it make that much of a difference? they show to be the same price.

the rough country is alright. i like the look of the 3 inch lift but im either going to have to replace the struts or go with everything new. id rather keep things on the less expensive side but doesnt look like that is going to happen if i have to replace a bunch of parts.

I'd start with the bushings and tie rods (and lbj's) first before thinking of a new rack. Unless your rack is leaking I bet those items alone will drastically improve the feel. Definitely helped on mine.
